We’ve entered an era where speed defines trust.
If you’re in Delhi, you can get groceries at your doorstep in 10–20 minutes—thanks to Blinkit and Zepto. But while these apps have redefined convenience, one segment has been left behind: D2C brands.
Scroll through Instagram and you’ll see stunning ads promising premium experiences. But click “Buy,” and you’re met with a 3–5 day wait. That gap—between expectation and experience—is costing brands conversions, COD success, and customer trust.
According to industry reports, faster delivery can boost conversions by 30% and improve COD success by 15–20%. And that’s where Pikndel, a Delhi-based startup, saw an opening.
Founded by Siddharth Batra and Tullika Batra, Pikndel helps D2C brands offer 1-hour, same-day, or next-day delivery—directly through their own websites. No marketplaces. No margin cuts. No loss of control.
The Founders’ Journey
Siddharth’s path started at SRCC, detoured through a profitable logistics startup, paused at ISB and BCG, and returned to entrepreneurship—with a focus on building sustainably.
Tullika, a media producer and storyteller, brought the brand lens and operational insight.
Together, they noticed a pattern: D2C brands were acing marketing but losing at the last mile. Marketplaces controlled speed—and therefore, customer loyalty. Pikndel’s mission became clear: restore that control.
How Pikndel Works
Pikndel’s model runs on three layers:
- Mother Warehouse – where inventory is stocked
- Dark Stores – strategically placed across high-demand zones
- Trained Last-Mile Fleet – delivering within 1 hour in Delhi NCR
The results speak for themselves:
- COD success: 75% → 90%+
- Conversions: +30% on products tagged with same-day delivery
- RTOs: Dropped significantly
Scaling with Depth, Not Haste
Funding the Vision
Bootstrapped with ₹25 lakh, Pikndel later raised:
- $285K Pre-seed (Dec 2023) – led by 100x.VC
- $1M Seed (Nov 2024) – led by VC Grid
But capital is fuel, not the finish line. The focus remains on sustainable infrastructure—not GMV hype.
Final Thought: Speed Isn’t Just a Service—It’s trust now-a-days
For years, D2C brands have been told to focus on storytelling, branding, and design. But experience is the real story.
In a world where Blinkit and Zepto have redefined expectations, speed is no longer optional—it’s emotional.
What Pikndel is building isn’t just logistics—it’s a bridge between promise and delivery, between intent and impact.
And for D2C brands chasing loyalty, trust, and repeat purchases, that bridge might just be the missing piece.
